Protection of privacy and personal and health information is an important aspect of Easton Suburban Water Authority's operations. We support and endorse privacy legislation.

     We will only collect personal or health information from people when we have their prior knowledge and consent and in a lawful and fair manner.

     We will only collect personal or health information that we require.

     We will only use personal or health information for the purposes for which it was collected, being the performance of lawful functions and activities related to the delivery of our services.

     We will not disclose personal or health information to a third party except:

    When the person that it relates to has authorized us to do so, or

    In the case of health information, the specific requirements of the Health Records Act apply, or

    We believe that the use or disclosure is reasonably necessary to assist a law enforcement agency or an agency responsible for national security in the performance of their functions, or

     We aim to ensure that personal or health information that we use is accurate, complete and up to date.

     We will remove personal information from our system where it is no longer required (except where archiving is required). However, health information will be retained unless:

     We will allow individuals to access any personal or health information that we hold about them and how we collect, hold and use that information, at least to the extent provided for under legislative requirements, upon request.

    Information about employee health as required

    Staff records including performance appraisals, qualifications/certificates

    Contractor work references and performance (past and present)

    Contractor company financial details

    Contractor employee qualifications/certificates, drivers license details

    Electronic signatures of some employees

    Work details and personal contact details for Board of Directors

    Pecuniary interest documentation of Board of Directors and Senior Management

    Subdivision developer details

    Customer information - change ownership/name/address, notification of disposition/acquisition of property, pension details, occupancy details, direct debit authorizations, payment/financial arrangements.

    We will copy this statement for anyone who requires it.

    Our web site home page can be accessed and our site can be browsed without disclosing personal information. The site does not use cookies.
